Agnes Cusack

Bio

Agnes Cusack is an experienced journalist and communicator.  Her latest project is a not for profit association, New Australia Media, which aims to raise the profile of the multicultural media sector in Australia.  Agnes worked for more than 20 years as a journalist with the ABC and was posted as a foreign correspondent to London and Washington.  While at the ABC Agnes worked as a trainer at the South African Broadcasting Corporation and presented the Media Report on Radio National.  After leaving the ABC Agnes worked with the World Bank in Indonesia and the Regional Assistance Mission to the Solomon Islands.  Returning to Melbourne, she worked with SBS Radio as a program manager.  Agnes won a Walkley Award for her coverage of the Balkan War in 1992 and was awarded a Knight Fellowship for Professional Journalists at Stanford University, California, in 2001/2002.
